Not beyond belief

Here it says that a local newspaper mistakenly cited Rev Michael McMahon, the headmaster of a Catholic school in Georgetown, as the author of a letter to the editor which supported gay rights.  So McMahon is suing the newspaper for defamation.

Let’s be perfectly clear: McMahon thinks that being wrongly accused of being sensitive to social problems faced by a large number of people is such a terrible thing that the newspaper must be punished and he must be paid.

He thinks rumoured compassion equals a stain on his character.

He thinks that caring about people’s rights is disgusting and despicable.

Some of the students in his school will be gay.  I do not envy them.
